Job Title: Airport Planner – Senior
Responsible for project management of medium to large sized projects, close interaction with clients. Responsible for putting teams together in order to complete projects of a high standard of quality, within deadlines and within budgetary requirements. Responsible for business development and business development of medium to large sized projects.
- Responsible for financial aspects of the project. Receives administrative supervision, with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
- Directs both professional and support staff on medium to large sized projects.
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of airport master planning, aviation system planning, and airport layout plan preparation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate project governance design presentations and input.
- Manage scope of each design submittal package.
- Facilitate responses to RFI’s between the project team and Design Consultant
- Coordinate and schedule design workshops between Design Consultant and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate, schedule, and assist with constructability reviews during all phases of design.
- Document design-related issues, decisions, and manage to resolution.
- Coordinate and schedule design review meetings and consolidate input from stakeholders, including any third party reviewers.
- Conduct design review sessions with stakeholders.
- Monitor and track sustainability plan development for LEED components
- Confirm all resolved design issues have been incorporated into design submittal packages.
- Coordinate reviews of submittals/ shop drawings from HAS project stakeholders, including subject matter experts, airport operations, and project team.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management or related field.
- Registered Architect preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the management of project design including significant time at general aviation and large regional airports.
